On Friday evening Synapse Medical Services were honoured to be in attendance at Brisbane City Hall as finalists for the fourth annual India Australia Business and Community Awards Gala evening.
The event had been wonderfully organised by Sonia Gandhi and her team at Gandhi Creations, ultimately acting as a showcase to celebrate the growing business relationship between Australia and India.
The evening was honouring success stories of migrant entrepreneurship and community leadership across a variety of categories.
Synapse Medical were deeply honoured to have been shortlisted for two awards:
- SME of the Year – Finalist 2017
- Business Leader of the Year – Female Category – Margaret Faux
We dressed to impress and took a 10 strong team down to Brisbane to enjoy a wonderful evening of inspiring stories, good cuisine and a host of familiar faces who have become a valued part of our business network since establishing our own office in India in the last few years.
The Australia India space is something that we at Synapse feel incredibly proud of and have been fostering a long lasting relationship in both markets for a number of years now. Our own service offering is built on the service standard and quality of Australian healthcare fused with the staggering drive and innovation of our Indian counterparts. With a number of wholly employed staff in both countries it was encouraging to have our efforts recognised by being a finalist in two tough categories.
The event was a 400 seat sell out and a lively mix of awards, live entertainment, business networking and of course the usual cricket references wherever these two countries are concerned!
Unfortunately we didn’t quite bring home the gold to Sydney on this occasion but we certainly left with a feeling that this was a start for us and that our determination to improve will lead to more evenings like this in the future. We are looking to build something very special here at Synapse, a real international family via our four global offices, that will continue to prosper for years to come.
We would like to thank Gandhi Creations for a truly spectacular evening, full of colours, sounds and ambition. Some of the stories on show were motivating and will inspire our continued work in this field, not least through the endeavours of our inspirational CEO, Margaret Faux, and her work as a
committee member of the Australia India Business Council.
Synapse Medical Services would like to extend our congratulations to all the winners on the night and we look forward to many more partnerships or relationships with individuals and companies who are seizing the opportunities that this great relationship presents.
