CBT Clinics and Synapse Medical Services

20/10/2017

We are delighted to announce that our international network has expanded this week, as Synapse Medical Services have agreed a memorandum of understanding with leading UK psychological healthcare company, CBT Clinics.

CBCT and Synapse LogosThe agreement is for both companies to partner, in a relationship which derives from a shared ethos, to explore international opportunities, whether that be mutual referrals, clinical delivery, administrative support or education.

Synapse and CBT Clinics, are both leading the way in their respective digital healthcare spaces. Synapse are transforming paperwork in patient care on an international setting, whilst CBT Clinics are transforming psychological healthcare for the clients and corporate entities that they work with.

CBT Clinics is a multi-award winning psychological assessment and treatment provider with a reputation for clinical expertise and innovation in the digital space. The capability of CBT Clinics to offer digital delivery of highly effective therapies anywhere, at any time, complements the existing services offered by Synapse whilst also enhancing the scope of the Synapse clinical panel.

Synapse CEO and Founder, Margaret Faux commented on the agreement as follows “we’ve been building a relationship with CBT Clinics over the last few months and it has become very apparent that both companies have similarities in origin, outlook and work ethic. Therefore we are delighted to formally partner and explore where we might be able to assist one another’s growth strategies over the coming years.

Our visibility in the UK has been increasing in the last year and we view this arrangement as another important step to assist more clients in that region. Similarly, CBT Clinics have been looking to move some services international and we hope to be able to help them here via our already established networks in Australia, India or the UAE.

Both companies treat innovation as a key measure for improvement and we look forward to seeing where this takes us, either via service delivery, tele-health or first class healthcare administrative support”. CBT Clinics CEO and Founder, Antony Brown was equally as positive about the agreement; “We’ve built an award winning proposition here in the UK, combining digital health technology with human expertise to give people the help they need, how they want it and where they want it. We’ve been thinking for some time about moving towards global delivery and with the capability of providing our psychological healthcare anywhere in the world, we are excited about this joint venture with Synapse who have a strong existing foothold in several key international markets. We have identified where we can support each other and together we aim to make a real difference in improving people’s lives and increasing the efficiency of medical service delivery.”

The importance of healthcare education is also paramount to both entities and will be increasingly so with the recent launch of Synapse’s training academy, AIMAC. Opportunities in education are being explored between the two companies as both seek “to give people access to high quality training and support, regardless of where they live”.

Synapse and CBT Clinics already enhance the healthcare jurisdictions in which they operate. They hope that a mutual understanding between the two will enable this to increase over the coming months.
