Arab Health 2024

20/02/2024

The end of January marked Synapse Medical Services 8th annual Arab Health conference in Dubai (home to one of our wholly owned offices), hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre by Informa. This promised to be a very exciting week as three of our senior management team, Dr Margaret Faux (CEO & Founder), Thom Soutter (Business Development Director) and Annette Panzera (Director Of Government and Corporate Relations), were in attendance.

The 2024 edition was the 49th Arab Health Medical Expo, which has grown into one of the largest healthcare conferences in the World, with exhibitors from all over the world. This year attracted over 110,000 visitors during the four-day period, making it the largest one to date.

Joining them this year was the strongest contingent of Australian companies to attend since we established our office in Dubai in 2016. A strong delegation supported by Austrade and the New South Wales government.

Our Business Development Director, Thom Soutter, was happy to present to the Australian delegation the day prior to the conference about our experiences in company set up and operations in Dubai. We hope to see more Aussies joining us at Dubai Science Park in the near future.

Arab Health has become a tradition of our Middle Eastern office and a good opportunity for us to see existing clients, catch up with friends in the industry and engage in new business opportunities.

This year was without doubt the busiest yet as our foothold and network in the region grow year on year.
We were delighted to commit to a new contract in Dubai during the week, see existing partners and establish some new opportunities to explore in the coming months, both in the Middle East and further afield.

We were delighted to welcome Peter Birch to Dubai, having been members of the Talking HealthTech community for several years now. There was some wonderful content made over the week with some of our established network and we can’t wait for you to listen to the final recordings.

We are proud to be representing NSW internationally with offices in India and Dubai.

For the 5th Arab Health conference in a row we were also proud to combine the event with the next in our Advance Health series, in partnership with Dubai Science Park (our UAE home) and Connect Communications. We co-hosted two events at the conference about “Advancements in Cancer Diagnostics and Treatment” and “Health and Movement session”.

We would like to thank all who attended, engaged and listened to the first-class speakers involved.

Our healthcare, educational networking initiative continues to be popular with our peers and we are looking forward to the 6th anniversary of the series in April 2023.

The week also included the release of the Dubai Science Park white paper in collaboration with EY, titled “The UAE Healthcare Ecosystem”. We were proud to support this release and you can download the same via this link – https://dsp.ae/whitepaper-report

A comprehensive read for anyone with interest in the UAE healthcare sector.

We are already looking forward to the 50th show in 2025 as it continues to get bigger and better, with our connections in the region well established.
